About Our Pastor
Reverend Linda L. Adkins has been in ministry for over 30 years. She and her husband Howard are the founding pastors of Words of Light Church Assembly of God, where she has been the Senior Pastor for the past 29 years.
Linda’s ministry is to teach believers how to take the principles of the kingdom of God and apply them to bring about a spiritual transformation. Her practical insight teaches her listeners that you must “get yourself off your hands.”
Her leadership ability has taken WOLC from a home mission work to an established sovereign church, which is rapidly growing in the city of Jacksonville, Florida. Linda is a mentor to other leaders and those called into the ministry. Her book, “The Character of Diamonds in a World of Glass,” has blessed many readers. Songwriters use her messages to write and record songs. Linda has written several songs herself.
Linda married her high school sweetheart Howard and they celebrate 48 years of marriage. They have three children who work with them in the ministry…seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Our Associate Pastors
Rev. Wayne Priest has been an ordained minister for over 30 years, and is Associate Pastor of WOLC…Wayne’s wife Dana is a Deaconess for WOLC. They have three children and two grandchildren.

About Our Church
WOLC began in 1982. It is a church for families to grow in the things of God…And a place “Where You Won’t Leave Like You Came In Jesus Name.” Because of the Light of the Glorious Gospel we see the lives and homes of people truly changed by the power of God.
