"Ready for Change" - Part 2

Secondly, Elisha found himself alone at Jericho. Jericho represents a place where you have seen great things done by others, but you aren't sure if you are quite ready to do the same.  Elisha was true to his training and teaching, performing a great miracle at Jericho that proved God was with him as He was with Elijah.  The same will be true for us when we face our Jericho.  God will prove Himself to us when our training kicks in. God is teaching us great things because He expects great things from us.

And thirdly, Elisha faced Bethel.  Everyone who ever came to Bethel found themselves at their wit's end.  But at our wit's end is the beginning of God's wisdom.  The problem with coming to our wit's end is that we tend to panic in those situations.  But if we've learned from our father/mentors, we will surely find Bethel as our place of worship.  This place is where our life becomes an expression of that worship. Everyone learns to worship at Bethel.
