It is often presented that God gives us an open call to Eternal Life...however, Jesus actually said whoever commits their life to Him would have Eternal Life. Eternal Life is life that has the characteristics of Jesus our Lord alone.  There are Scriptures that have had doctrinal twists placed on them.  Therefore, before we seal our opinion on any matter from the Scriptures, we need to know what Jesus Himself has said about it.  Often times, people discuss topics like heaven, hell, life, and death and they leave Jesus out of the discussion altogether.

If we are true believers in Christ Jesus then we are committed to His way of looking at everything.  We want to know what He taught, and not what people say He taught.  We not only need to know what Jesus said, but we need to know the attitude in which He said it.  Our salvation is a Person and not just an experience.  If we believe only in our experience of salvation, then it is possible to become depressed with our experience.  However, to believe in the Person of our salvation is to have an irrepressible belief.

To believe in the Lord Jesus Christ means more than just acknowledging that there is a God and that Jesus is His Son.  To believe in Jesus Christ is much deeper that most teach...to believe is to commit.  We do not just believe in a plan of salvation...we believe in a Person, Jesus the Son of the Living God...Amen.
