The Scriptures tell us to give honor where honor is due.  Honor is a necessary element that must be if we are to live peaceable with others.  When you think of honoring someone, you think of a celebration.

In America, we celebrate many days, Thanksgiving Day, Arbor Day, Flag Day, Mothers Day, and even Grandparents Day.  Today is another day that we celebrate...Fathers Day.

We have the opportunity today to give honor to the Fathers in our lives.  There is nothing greater on the earth than a godly Father.  God Himself has always given honor and respect to men who would choose Him as their God and would follow His ways of righteousness.  Noah, Job, Abraham, just to name a few, were among those to whom God gave high regard.  It is a privilege, as a child, to be raised up by godly parents, and especially Fathers.  Fathers who pray and live the Word of God will train up their children in the way they should go.

Not everyone had such men as Fathers, but those who have, have a great advantage.  To all the Fathers of Words of Light Church...today we honor you.  We know that you are not only hearing the Word, but you are keeping it as true life that you have found.  May our Lord so richly bless you that you will be a shinning example to your children, both old and young.  As pastor of WOLC, I honor you, and I say there is nothing the Father God will not give to you...if you ask.  I respect that above all else you have chosen God as the Father and Lord of your own lives.  You are giving your children a gift beyond price by giving your heart and your loyalty to the Father of Lights.

Be blessed today Fathers of WOLC knowing that your Father which is in heaven is honoring you today as His tried and true FREE MEN...Amen.
