“Transformed by the Holy Spirit” Part 1

“Only a diamond cuts another diamond.” We need the diamond---cutting power of the Holy Spirit to shape us into a disciplined, transformed saint of God.

“Blessed is the man whom you discipline and instruct, O Lord, and teach out of your law, that you may give him power to keep himself calm in days of adversity, until the inevitable pit of corruption is dug for the wicked.” (Psalms 94:12-13) Is it possible to reflect back, and see that if we used this power to keep ourselves calm in the adversities we faced?

The Psalmist said, “Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul.” The writer learned and practiced this, by receiving the power from God to remain calm. “Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul; like a weaned child with his mother, like a weaned child is my soul within me [ceased from fretting] O Israel, hope in the Lord from this time forth and forever.” (Psalms 131:2-3)

There is such need for this ability to stay calm in times when we find ourselves as David did, “In the multitude of my anxious thoughts within me” (Psalms 94:19 Amp.) He sought the Lord and found His comforts cheered and delighted his soul. Whatever the case may be, the Scriptures say the Lord gives us power to keep ourselves calm in adversity.
